Workshops and Courses

Throughout the year, I will be holding a variety of workshops, short courses, and herb walk events. These are aimed at empowering individuals to manage their health through nature by connecting us to our natural environment, rekindling traditional knowledge, and teaching about specific herbs, native medicinal plants, and effective treatment methods.

Herbarium Course

A six-week course spread over six months (April-September).

This course aims to connect you with medicinal plants you might encounter growing near you.

What you will be doing...

Exploring the medicinal properties of local plants. Learning how to identify, collect and prepare plant material. As well as how to sympathetically display plant material to create your very own unique medicinal herbarium to use as a reference for future foraging and home remedy making.

Each session will focus on different plants, remedies, and health issues appropriate to that month and will be made up of the following elements:

  • A herb walk, where you will learn how to identify various medicinal plants correctly. Each month, we look at different plants and stages of plants and how to collect material for making medicines.
  • Discuss remedies with samples and recipes you can include in your herbarium.
  • Collecting and preparing plant samples for press.
  • Building your herbarium with your pressed plant samples and sessional information.

There are limited spaces, so book early to avoid disappointment.

All materials are provided and you finish the course with your personal herbarium.

The course will run on Saturdays, each session being about 3 hours long. Dates to follow shortly.

Location: East Drayton (currently)

Cost: £320
